Since its inception in 2007, HealtheX has grown in popularity, with more and more students participating each year. The conference has become a platform for students to showcase their research work, share ideas, and learn from their peers. The success of HealtheX can be attributed to the dedication and hard work of the students and staff volunteers who have worked tirelessly every year to make each event a success.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HealtheX 2020 and 2022 were hybrid events, combining both online and in-person elements. The events were held at Grafton, with the majority of attendees present in-person while others participated online. This format was chosen to accommodate attendees who were unable to travel due to health concerns or covid-related engagements. Unfortunately, due to Covid restraints, HealtheX 2021 was held entirely online. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, these events were successful, with many students presenting their research work in virtual poster and presentation sessions. The organizers of HealtheX were able to adapt to the new format, creating an engaging online experience for all participants.
Looking ahead, HealtheX 2023 is set to be held in person at Grafton campus, providing an opportunity for students to meet face-to-face and engage in discussions and networking. The 2023 HealtheX committee are incredibly excited to welcome everyone back onto campus, and hopefully make this HealtheX the best one yet.
